The Long (day) & Short (blog) of It

Today was our last non-scheduled day for a while. We hung out at the apartment until almost 2pm, when I was just about ready to burst from boredom. Then we took a taxi to the Akropolis. We were going to have the girls try Chinese food, but there was actually a long waiting line there, so we settled for Japanese. It wasn't very good. Oh well. We watched the movie "Up" which was all in Lithuanian and then the girls went ice-skating. KC and I walked around for awhile and bought a couple of books on Lithuania. Now we are home. Not much of a day, but tomorrow should be fun. We'll be visiting with Ingrida ... we are hoping to get her on Skype with her soon-to-be family, the Vance's! Pray that we can find a place to get online!!!

Wow, I really can't think of anything else to tell you right now and my laundry is almost done, so I better go hang it to dry! Hope everyone is doing well!

Sounds like a normal day in Vilnius to me! Akropolis was our boredom buster too....

I heard from your mother and read it on your blog, that your adoption has come through. Remember the title of our premarital class - Two To Get Ready? You were getting ready for more than you realized, weren't you? I trust that God's grace will enable you to parent these girls capably. We're happy for you, and look forward to what's ahead for your family.

Before you know it you'll be bustling around with school schedules! My husband suggests you guys go see the Hill of Crosses, if you got the time. Maybe while the girls are saying their goodbyes. It's amazing! Continued prayers, Carolyn Norkus

Kc sorry i have not contacted you earlier. I was so excited to read about the bumps along the road that turned in to nothing more than just that. I am happy to know that I work with good people like youself. I believe once your daughters get to America and get over the culture shock their going to realize how good life is. I look forward to meeting your new family when you return after sept 4. Try to stay stress free and enjoy the rest of your trip. I also hope your wife even though we have not met is relaxing now that everything is settled. God Bless and see you soon.

Prov. 3 - 4 "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man."

D.J. is looking forward for Adruta being at school. Here's her comment. "D so pumped! If she needs ANYTHING I'll be there in a heartbeat"
Thought that was cool.
