Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, and comments! We definitely needed to hear from family and friends! Your words of encouragement and practicality were like hugs from afar. Seriously! We have been in a state of shock ... I felt numb and deflated all day. No, we can't see why God has brought us here right now and that's hard, but we still trust Him and want to follow His perfect will for our lives. Yes, it seems impossible to bring Lina to America now. She knew what we were offering her and she still ran. We understand that she's had a hard life and that she's definitely being powered by hormones right now. Maybe we can stay in contact with her somehow. Who knows?
We are looking forward to being home and being around family. We will be okay.
Love you all!
Michele & KC

Hi Honey & Hubby, It will be so good to see you tomorrow, bitter sweet, though. In the probably not to distant future, I think there will be one young Lithuanian girl who will be very upset with her decision. I can't even imagine being in her posiion though. She will always be in our prayers. We'll be praying for a safe, uneventful flight tomorrow. You are loved very much by so many and I am so proud of you both. Love, Mom
I stumbled on your blog by accident and even though we don't know each other, my prayers and thoughts go out to you. You have such a great attitude and God is carrying you right now. Only he can know what great things will come out of all of this.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillippians 4:6
Michele and KC - You are still in our thoughts and prayers, and we will be praying all day tomorrow for your safe return home. As for Lina, we hope she stays safe and out of harms way. You two have been an inspiration to the both of us, your positive outlook and constant devotion to God is beyond words and we cannot wait to see you again. We are such lucky people to have the two of you in our lives.

So be strong and take courage, all you who put your hope in the Lord!
~ Psalm 31:24, NLT
Did you know that the Chinese have one symbol that means both tragedy and opportunity? Interesting, huh? Remember, when one door closes another one opens. Maybe, just maybe, Lina wasn't the one God sent you over to find. I am thinking of you always.
KC & Michele, Bless you for your courage! We will be waiting with open arms to comfort you in the days to come. You have our love, concern and prayers.
Pslam 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust".

Hello KC and Michele,
okay, I have Steve helping me with this so hopefully it will go through.
Anyways, we have been so thinking of you and the situation. We have loved your blogging and hereing all the great and silly times. Now it is a new day with new thoughts. Just hold on the our Lord Jesus Christ. He knows what is happening and how you are feeling. God is with you and He is with Lina. Our hearts are feeling your numbness, your confusion and love you have for a child. If we were in Lynden together I would give you a big teary eyed hug.
We are on our way to Montana to see Jeffrey. We also hold on to God and see what He has for us. I know you understand what I am saying. We are so excited to see him but a little nervous.
Your family and friends are here for you :)
Love, Melany
